Mind Manual?

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we came with a manual that helped us use our minds to their full capacity?

Have you noticed that you already instinctively know things, like when someone is not really saying what they mean, or how you can ascertain within moments if a certain individual is a bit of a Mr. McKreepy?

This is a natural ability we have as human beings that assists us in detecting what could be a possible threat or an unwise affiliation.

Something within us knows the truth, the truth which is relative to any given situation.

Obviously, if we put a vacancy sign up on our foreheads, we will be subject to many incoming suggestions and input that are not in our best interests.

If we do not take hold of our own minds…you can bet your ass…someone else will!

Well now, here’s the good news; Great strides have been made in the ‘art of the mind’ and how to use it!

Get your Head in the Game!

So, how does one take back ownership of their thoughts and begin creating the life they want to construct?

I have found a combination of techniques that can have a profound impact on getting you in the driver’s seat of your mind. It is a blending of four mind techniques; NLP- Neuro-Linguistic Programming, hypnosis, affirmations, and visualizations.

This is not new to anyone, but it is how we apply these methods and by whom we are instructed in them that will make for success! Using these four mind strategies will greatly assist you in deliberately creating the thoughts, and therefore the life, that you want.

It is not within the scope of this writing to break down these four creative schools of the mind, (I have left you references for that purpose, and will go into greater detail in later posts.) but to get you to see that you have available to you superior think and create for yourself.

These programs will assist you in moving forward and to begin exercising your mind to think and create for yourself. Continue Reading

Lost and found: Neglect Check

Neglect Much?

With everything we have to do to keep our heads above water these days, I’m sure the last thing you want to hear is; “What are you still neglecting?” No one wants to hear about going the proverbial extra  mile.

(Getting tired just thinking about it… huh?)

Did you know that about 3 out of 100 of us will still be in business this time next year? Did you know that it is in the way we do the small things in life that gives us the kahunas strength for the big things?

Great things are peeking out at us from around every corner. These bigger things will elude us if we squander our lives in neglectful living.

Success is the trophy for outstanding attention to our day-to-day disciplines. A little fear right now is an appropriate reaction, however…it is easy to put neglect behind you! In fact, you can do it right now.

“The things that are easy to do are also not easy to do. The primary reason most people are not doing as well as they could, can be summed up in a single word: Neglect”.

Wise words from Mr. Rohn, whom, I might add, knows just a bit more on personal development than the few gathered here today.

Another, from the same; “Everything we would ever need to become rich and powerful and sophisticated is within our reach. The major reason that so few take advantage of all that we have is, simply, neglect”.

Hmm…so what is it we are neglecting? Continue Reading

Your Gracefully Chaotic Life

Predict the Unpredictable

Life is always moving, changing, and inevitably unpredictable.

Within this constant flux of movements blending into the new, how does one find stability?

Aren’t we all seeking the ‘Holy Grail’ of happiness?

Why does it seem so illusive at times?

Looking closely at the world around us we are stunned by its grandeur and mystery, and sometimes wonder how we fit into this beautiful and sometimes frightening world.

As I look to the skies for clues to life’s meanings, I can’t help feeling a sense of being awestruck at our significant placement here and simultaneously getting a deflated sense of being lost in the crowd.

I can relate to the ‘Who’s’ in Horton’s Who Ville, exclaiming passionately; ‘We are here, we are here’! To who’s ear do we speak and seek our peace?

It is clear we need to find something that makes sense, something kind and orderly…something safe.Perhaps our limited view of perfection encapsulates things of a chaotic nature as well as the sweet.

Just look at your kitchen right now…no matter how much cleaning is done within its square footage it is in a constant state of decline and decay.

Remember when the babies were born?…perfection and light. How’s the car and house lookin? How many loads of laundry are goin on at your house?

Everything wonderful comes with it’s not so wonderful sidekick…Entropy. (Just look at the state of your breasts, they speak volumes- Not any more!) I have a tendency to resist such thinking…and that’s where, I conclude, I have gone wrong.
